As Jackie Kennedy famously said, “Pearls are always appropriate.”

Here in the South, we couldn’t agree more with her statement.
Pearls are an everyday sight on women of all ages whether it’s a beautiful strand crafted into a necklace, dainty pearl earrings, or a stunning pearl ring. Pearls are flexible in the sense that not only can you wear them with your fanciest dress at a black-tie wedding, but you can just as easily wear a strand of pearls with a t-shirt while running errands around time.
Pearls are truly always appropriate.
The pearl happens to be one of the three June birthstones, and due to it’s popularity in the South, it’s our favorite gemstone for this month.
Pearls have some wedding tradition tied in with their history, and we love it. It’s tradition, in many cultures, for a bride to wear pearls on her wedding day. Why? Pearls symbolize both innocence and purity. Pearls are also traditional wedding anniversary gifts that are often gifted on the 1st, 3rd, 12th, and 30th wedding anniversaries.
